Performance issues: 1. Silent Hill 3 does not run well on laptops with an Nvidia GPU, it will run on integrated graphics. It is unknown if this is also an issue with AMD laptops: The fix for this would be to use "d3d8to9" or "dgVoodoo" but these tools are not fully compatible with SH3 and causes grahpics and performance issues. If you would like to use these tools regardless you can rename their d3d8.dll to d3d8R.dll. https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3733/~/games-based-on-directx-8-and-older-versions-of-directx-will-only-run-on 2.
